Opened in 1987 by HRH Queen Elizabeth 11. The old Jubilee market hall and market site were revalorized and enlarged to create an active street level with the central market. The upper floor of the existing building was adapted to house a community sports centre

The Piazza front is taken up by 4 story office block and 25 affordable housing units around a central garden and roof garden for soho housing association.
