Landscape and urban design improvements of the Thingaza creek embankments.

In conjunction with improvement and construction of infrastructure, substantial capacity strengthening for MCDC was necessary to achieve the city's objective to develop a "Clean and Green Mandalay". The project aims to develop capacity of the MCDC, particularly the CPLAD, in climate change resilient urban planning and management. The project developed and conducted training programs for MCDC staff in heritage evaluation and conservation area creation and included a real project with the designs for comprehensive improvement of the Thingaza Creek area in the historic core of Mandalay facing the River.
